Food network star Guy Fieri has teamed up with the National Restaurant Association to raise money to help restaurant workers who have been laid off due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In an interview with Fox In the Morning Host Steve Doocy, Fieri stated  “The goal is to raise 100 Million and as of right now we already have raised 3 Million”  Checks for the fund are given out on first-come, first-serve basis. Original capital was kicked off by a number of anchor sponsors including PepsiCo, Moët Hennessy USA, Uber Eats, Constellation Brands, which owns Corona beer and Svedka, among many others — and 100 percent of future donations will go towards the impacted restaurant workers..

How will the funds be distributed and how much can someone recieve?

. According to Fieri, any person who has worked in the food industry for at least 90 days and has been recently laid off do to the coronavirus is eligible to receive $500.00. Applications for the grants will be available as soon as April 1st.
