Our St Louis office provides both small and large retailers with state-of-the-art POS solutions. We are looking for a Computer/Network technician to Service, Support and Install our Restaurant POS solutions in the St Louis and surrounding markets.

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

We are an established Restaurant Point of Sale Reseller located in St Louis MO with a large customer base encompassing the Missouri & Illinois Business communities. We are looking for a Point-of-Sale Computer Service and Installation Technician to become a part of our technical service team! In this position you will be responsible for the staging, installation and service and support of Retail POS Computer Systems in restaurants and retail businesses. Components include touchscreen terminals, Servers, thermal Printers, Network Routers, Switches, Access Points and Kitchen Video.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Stage, Install, configure, and maintain POS systems, software applications, and system updates
  • Learn the configuration and set up of our POS Software Applications (NCR Voyix Aloha, Aloha Cloud, Genius)
  • Provide remote support and troubleshooting for end users
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance of equipment
  • Provide second-level technical support for servers, touchscreen terminals and tablet hardware, software, and peripheral issues
  • Diagnosing and resolve advanced technical issues escalated from the L1 support team
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify recurring technical problems and develop solutions
  • Excellent in troubleshooting break/fix issues of windows and mac computers
  • Assist with network connectivity issues, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN
  • Collaborate with IT team members on projects, upgrades, and implementations
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, issues, and resolutions using the company’s ticketing system
  • Train and mentor junior support technicians as needed
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance of equipment
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with end users and ensure user satisfaction

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in network configurations, Cat5-6 cabling, switches, routers and access points
  • Knowledge of operating systems including Windows and MAC
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Familiarity with remote desktop tools and support software
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support

    Experience:

    • 2 years’ experience in servicing computer equipment or other related fields
    • Restaurant operation experience
